This story revolves around Mary Queen of Scots and the fight for to regain her throne during her cousin Queen Elizabeth’s rein. Queen Mary is “imprisoned” and is kept as a guest by the Earl of Shrewsbury and his wife. This is a huge task/responsibility that changes all their lives forever. I liked this book but not nearly as much as some of her others. It tended to be very repetitive but I definitely wanted to see how it all ended. The story does pick up in the middle of the book and it does become quite a page turner.
