I really enjoyed this book. The characters are most enjoyable and overall a feel good book. Light and easy to read. The story centers around a single mom and her daughter and the yarn shop they own. Friday nights have become gathering time for the friends of the store, where they knit, relax and share their deepest secrets.

This is the sequel to Pillars of the Earth. This time the story is set 200 years after the first. The story takes place again in Kingsbridge and continues to revolve around the monastery. This was a fabulous book that I just couldn’t put down. Like the first book it is also 1000 pages but I still didn’t want it to end. If you liked the first the second will not disappoint.

A little about me and my site. I was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago. I spent some time at the University of Madison in Wisconsin and then graduated from Northeastern University in Chicago with a degree in Human Resources. I have lived in Florida, Milwaukee and currently I live in St. Louis Mo.( for almost 20 years). I worked for Jenny Craig for 13 years and it was a wonderful experience where I met a lot of great people and got to travel around the country for 6 of those years. s. I have been married for 13 years and have two wonderful children. I love to read and find there is just never enough time to get to all the great books out there. About 5 years ago I got the idea that I should start keeping track of all the great books I was reading and I started giving them a small review and then at the end of the year I would send out the list to all my friends. Over the years I have gotten great feedback about my list and nothing makes me happier then when someone chooses to read a book I have recommended and has enjoyed it, or has passed the list on to their friends or even their own book clubs. So now you won’t have to wait all year to see what I have been reading. My friends also know that I am ALWAYS looking for good books and asking them what they are currently reading. I hope this site will help my reading friends find some good books to read but to also share what they have enjoyed with me.
