I really enjoyed this book. Starts out with Joe who is a great high school hockey player and the path which is least expected that his life takes. This is just a feel good story and now that I am done I already miss the characters.

This was a true story about the incredible journey of the Lost Boys from Sudan. During the war these boys (as young as 5) traveled literally hundreds of miles through the war torn desert, with little to no food or water. Their story was amazing for so many reasons and this all happened so recently. This was a great book.

I really wanted to like this book because the premise was one that is so familiar. The topic is about working mothers and stay at home mothers and the internal conflicts they struggle with. The beginning started out strong but then just kind of fizzled. I usually don’t finish books that I don’t enjoy but by the time I figured out is wasn’t going to get any better I was already almost done and just wanted to see how it ended. Don’t waste your time.

A little about me and my site. I was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago. I spent some time at the University of Madison in Wisconsin and then graduated from Northeastern University in Chicago with a degree in Human Resources. I have lived in Florida, Milwaukee and currently I live in St. Louis Mo.( for almost 20 years). I worked for Jenny Craig for 13 years and it was a wonderful experience where I met a lot of great people and got to travel around the country for 6 of those years. s. I have been married for 13 years and have two wonderful children. I love to read and find there is just never enough time to get to all the great books out there. About 5 years ago I got the idea that I should start keeping track of all the great books I was reading and I started giving them a small review and then at the end of the year I would send out the list to all my friends. Over the years I have gotten great feedback about my list and nothing makes me happier then when someone chooses to read a book I have recommended and has enjoyed it, or has passed the list on to their friends or even their own book clubs. So now you won’t have to wait all year to see what I have been reading. My friends also know that I am ALWAYS looking for good books and asking them what they are currently reading. I hope this site will help my reading friends find some good books to read but to also share what they have enjoyed with me.
