A small mill town that was conceived as a haven for workers weary of exploitation from other towns decides to quarantine themselves during the 1918 flu epidemic. The concept of this utopian type town is interesting and what ensues really makes you think. I liked this book.

This book had me laughing out loud. IT makes me think of Bridget Jones but with a political theme. Sammy is idealistic and dedicated to her job as health care analyst for a US Senator. She is a hypochondriac who falls for the speechwriter of a rival Senator. I really enjoyed this book.

A little about me and my site. I was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago. I spent some time at the University of Madison in Wisconsin and then graduated from Northeastern University in Chicago with a degree in Human Resources. I have lived in Florida, Milwaukee and currently I live in St. Louis Mo.( for almost 20 years). I worked for Jenny Craig for 13 years and it was a wonderful experience where I met a lot of great people and got to travel around the country for 6 of those years. s. I have been married for 13 years and have two wonderful children. I love to read and find there is just never enough time to get to all the great books out there. About 5 years ago I got the idea that I should start keeping track of all the great books I was reading and I started giving them a small review and then at the end of the year I would send out the list to all my friends. Over the years I have gotten great feedback about my list and nothing makes me happier then when someone chooses to read a book I have recommended and has enjoyed it, or has passed the list on to their friends or even their own book clubs. So now you won’t have to wait all year to see what I have been reading. My friends also know that I am ALWAYS looking for good books and asking them what they are currently reading. I hope this site will help my reading friends find some good books to read but to also share what they have enjoyed with me.
